Upgrade from Movable Type 3.x

If you previously purchased Movable Type Commercial 3.x, you are entitled to an upgrade to Movable Type Pro 4.2 at a discounted price. The upgrade includes the social networking features that will help you build a community around your website.

Here's how to upgrade:

Step 1: Login to Your Account

To begin the process of obtaining your discounted upgrade, first login to your Movable Type Customer Account. Click the "Login through TypeKey" link.

Step 2: Enter the Movable Type Store

Once your have entered your account, you should see a record of the purchases of Movable Type you have previously made. On the lower right hand side of the page is a link to additional licenses. Click "Purchase Movable Type products."

Step 3: Select the Movable Type Pro 4.2 Upgrade

Next, you will be taken to screen that shows all of the products you are eligible to buy. Look for "Upgrade to Movable Type 4.2 Pro, Business License" under "Purchase Additional Licenses & Services." Click the link to begin the free upgrade process. You will be asked to accept a terms of service, and then you will be finished.
